Mini beef burgers with melted cheese and tangy pickles on soft slider buns.

# What You'll Need:

→ Beef Patties

01 - 1.1 lb ground beef, 80/20 blend recommended
02 - 1 tsp kosher salt
03 - ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
04 - ½ tsp garlic powder

→ Toppings & Assembly

05 - 8 slices cheddar or American cheese
06 - 8 slider buns
07 - 16-24 dill pickle slices
08 - 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
09 - ½ small red onion, thinly sliced
10 - 2 tbsp ketchup
11 - 2 tbsp mayonnaise

# How to Make:

01 - Heat grill, grill pan, or skillet to medium-high temperature.
02 - Combine ground beef, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in mixing bowl. Divide into 8 equal portions and shape into patties approximately 2.5 inches in diameter.
03 - Brush cut sides of buns with melted butter. Place cut side down on grill or skillet and toast until golden brown, 1-2 minutes. Set aside.
04 - Cook beef patties 2-3 minutes on first side. Flip, top each with cheese slice, and cook 2 additional minutes until cheese melts and patties reach desired doneness.
05 - Spread mayonnaise and/or ketchup on bottom buns. Place cheesy patties on buns, top with pickle slices and onion if desired, then cover with top buns.
06 - Serve immediately while warm.

# Expert Suggestions:

01 -
  • These sliders come together in under 30 minutes, making them perfect for last minute gatherings or weeknight dinners
  • The combination of juicy beef, melty cheese, and tangy pickles hits every craving button in one tiny package
02 -
  • Do not press down on the patties while they cook or you will lose all those precious juices that make sliders irresistible
  • Let the patties rest for just one minute after cooking so the cheese sets slightly and does not slide right off when you take that first bite
03 -
  • Make a tiny thumbprint in the center of each raw patty to keep them from puffing up into balls while cooking
  • Let the cheese melt naturally instead of covering the pan, which creates steam and makes the bun soggy
