# What You'll Need:

→ Beef Patties

01 - 1.1 lbs ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
02 - 1 tsp kosher salt
03 - 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
04 - 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)

→ Cheese & Toppings

05 - 8 slices cheddar cheese (or American cheese)
06 - 16 dill pickle slices
07 - 8 slider buns

08 - 2 tbsp mayonnaise
09 - 2 tbsp yellow mustard
10 - 2 tbsp ketchup

→ Optional Garnishes

11 - 1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced
12 - 8 small lettuce leaves

# How to Make:

01 - Preheat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat until evenly hot.
02 - Gently mix ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Divide into 8 equal portions and shape into patties slightly larger than the buns to account for shrinkage.
03 - Place patties on hot pan and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to desired doneness.
04 - During the final minute of cooking, place a cheese slice on each patty and cover the pan to melt completely.
05 - Lightly toast slider buns cut-side down on the grill or in a toaster until golden.
06 - Spread mayonnaise, mustard, and ketchup on the bottom half of each toasted bun.
07 - Place cheese-topped patty on dressed bun, add 2 pickle slices, and finish with optional onion and lettuce. Crown with bun top and serve immediately.

# Expert Suggestions:

01 -
  • Everything tastes better in mini form, especially when cheese is involved
  • They come together in 30 minutes but disappear even faster
02 -
  • Overworking the beef mixture makes tough patties, so handle it lightly
  • The patties shrink as they cook, which is why starting them slightly larger than the buns matters
03 -
  • Make a small indentation in the center of each raw patty to prevent them from puffing up into balls
  • Let the patties rest for a minute after cooking so the juices redistribute
