01 - Spread 1 tablespoon softened butter evenly on one side of each bread slice.
02 - Place two bread slices butter-side down on a clean work surface. Spread 2 tablespoons pizza sauce on the unbuttered side of each slice.
03 - Layer mozzarella cheese slices, pepperoni, Parmesan cheese, oregano, and basil over the sauced bread.
04 - Top with remaining bread slices, buttered side facing up.
05 - Preheat a nonstick skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
06 - Place sandwiches in the hot skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, pressing gently with a spatula, until bread is golden brown and cheese is thoroughly melted.
07 - Remove from skillet and let cool for 1-2 minutes. Slice diagonally and serve with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
